What data we collect

We may collect and process:

  • Identity and contact data (name, email, phone, business name) when you enquire or start a project
  • Project brief information you submit on our start form
  • Free SEO & AEO Scan data: email address, optional business name, website URL, sector and scan results when you run a free scan or download a report
  • Payment metadata from Stripe (we do not store full card numbers)
  • Technical data such as IP address and browser type in server logs
  • Cookie data as described in our cookie policy

Free SEO Scan — how the tool works

Our Free SEO & AEO Scan tool (https://sitesignalstudio.co.uk/free-seo-aeo-scan) analyses publicly available website pages that you submit. To generate a scan we fetch visible HTML from your site, extract on-page signals such as titles, headings, forms and structured data, and store the scan result so you can view or download your report.

If you unlock a paid full review, we may also generate additional written recommendations for your report.

Entering your email is required to download the free scan guide PDF. We use your email to record your request, attach it to the scan reference, and gate report downloads. We do not email the PDF to you unless you separately ask us to.

Third-party API and service providers

To deliver Free SEO & AEO Scan, website builds, payments and hosting, we use trusted processors and may transfer limited data to them where necessary:

  • Stripe — payment processing for the £79 full review and website deposits. Stripe receives checkout details such as email, payment amount and transaction metadata.
  • OpenAI— when configured, we send a structured summary of your scan findings (not your full website HTML) to OpenAI's API to generate optional AI-assisted sections of a paid full review. We do not use OpenAI to train models on your data through this integration; OpenAI's API data-use terms apply to their processing.
  • Supabase — secure Postgres database hosting for scan records, email leads, paid review status and related metadata.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers — application hosting, logging, email delivery and operational tooling under contract.

When you submit a website URL for scanning, our servers make outbound requests to that public URL to retrieve page content for analysis. We do not attempt to access password-protected, private or non-public areas of a site.

You may complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk). Please contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern.
